About Us
The John Cummins Memorial Fund has been established with Melbourne Community Foundation (MCF) to honour the memory and legacy of John Cummins. John was 58 when he died on 29 August, 2006 of a brain tumour.
The memorial fund is the initiative of John’s family, friends, colleagues and comrades, Cummo’s committee.
The purpose of the John Cummins memorial fund is to honour and continue in some small way John’s lifetime work.
Funds are being raised to:
-support patients with a brain tumour attending the Austin Hospital
and
-establish a scholarship fund to support young students or trade union members from disadvantaged backgrounds to complete their tertiary education or to access higher education.
